OLIVER, Lawrence
MEMPHIS – Lawrence Oliver, 58, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at his residence.
     Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church in Batesville. Visitation is today 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Rev. Melvin Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
     Oliver, born July 20, 1948, in Batesville, to the late Ed Oliver and the late Lillie Bell Pegues Oliver, the lead mechanice for Hogan and Associates. He was also a member of Liberty Hill M.B. Church.
     Survivors include: his wife, Emma Oliver of Memphis; four sons, Willie Oliver, Sean Oliver, Derek Oliver and Andrew Harris, all of Memphis; one daughter, Stephanie Sellars of Memphis; seven sisters, Wanda Oliver of Batesville, Eva Hentz of Pope, Joyce Oliver Harris of Stockon, Calif., Gloria Oliver of Fresno, Calif., Bernice Shaw of Hayward, Calif., Annie Bell Brooks of Oakland, Calif. and Dorothy Mobley of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Stanley Oliver of Lithonia, Ga. and Willie Ed Oliver of Oakland, Calif.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

COURTLAND – Foy Lee Osborn, 72, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
     Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be noon – 2 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.
     Osborn was born Sept. 12, 1934, to the late Grady and Ella Howell Osborn, in Hamilton, Ala.
     Survivors include: one brother, Wayne Osborn of Olive Branch and one sister, Grace Bailey of Lambert.
