Gracie Amelia Jenkins, 20, of Batesville,  went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Born and raised in Batesville, Gracie had the definition of a servant’s heart, and was pursuing a nursing degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College to help serve those who needed her. She stayed busy between school, work, and spending time with her friends; but always made time for her family and God.

Even through her struggles with sickness, she always had the best attitude; and, everyone who knew her knew how her humor and smile could light up any room.

Her love of God shown through her as she followed him with all of her heart; always sharing and posting the scriptures that were in her heart that day for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Haley Potts.

She is survived by her mother, Tabetha Jenkins; father, Larry Jenkins; bonus father, Roger Schmidt; twin sister, Stormie Jenkins; brother, Layton Potts; grandparents, Cindy and Dennis Austin; and her beloved niece, Alana Mayer.

Visitation for Gracie will be held at Dickins Funeral Home (99 Public Square, Batesville, MS 38606) on Tuesday, June 4,  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow beginning at 1 p.m. The graveside will be held at Crowder Cemetery in Crowder following services.
