The Batesville Main Street Program has announced the City will sponsor a Fall Concert Series on the Downtown Square beginning next Thursday, Sept. 19. These will be free events designed for family outings.

Main Street Director Mamie Avery said the office, along with Panola Partnership, was looking for event ideas for the  downtown area to fill the fall months before The Train to Christmas Town and holiday shopping season begins.

Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the Square and listen to local artists from 6 to 8 p.m. four times over the next month – Thursday evenings on Sept. 19 and 26, and Oct. 3 and 10.

The lineup is: Brandon Crumpler (9/19), HonkyTonk Heroes (9/26), Two Man Trio (10/3), and The Lighthorse Harry Band  (10/10).

“We hope everyone plans to attend and bring their family,” Avery said.  “All of Batesville can enjoy these beautiful fall evenings together as a community.

Main Street officials are still looking for a few sponsors, and any company interested in taking part in any of the concert events should contact Avert at the  Panola Partnership office (662-563-3126) or by email at mamieavery@panolacounty.com.
