South Panola School District Transportation Services director Scootie Murphree held his annual day of training and preparation for the bus drivers who will begin crossing the southern part of the county twice a day with the children enrolled at the six schools in the district. Some 84 drivers and support staff keep about 68 buses running their routes twice a day, and some every evening and on weekends for extracurricular activities. Murphree also issued his annual plea to Panola drivers for extra caution when buses are stopped and children are boarding or exiting the vehicles. (Jeremy Weldon)
