Thomas Bailey,93, died at his daughter’s home in Starkville Aug. 1, 2019. He was the widower of Dorothy Tuttle Bailey.

Funeral arrangements will be posted by Wells Funeral Home when finalized.

 

BJ Bridges, 24, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019, at Region One Medical Center in Memphis.

Funeral service arrangements were incomplete early Monday, and will be announced by Wells Funeral Home when available.

 

Funeral services for Robert Wesley “Jack” Gates, 72, will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, at Batesville Junior High School at 11 a.m. with Rev. Zannie Leland, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Batesville Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Cooley’s Mortuary.

He died July 30, 2019, at Diversicare of Batesville.

He was born April 1, 1947 to Ezekial Gates and Elouise Farris in Batesville.

Visitation will be Friday at Cooley’s Mortuary from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

August David Hardorn, Sr., 78, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born May 3, 1941 to the late Ed Hadorn and the late Abbie Leona Long Hadorn. He was a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ.

He enjoyed mechanicing, mowing, working outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Services were held July 7 at Senter Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial was at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Hadorn of Fulton; two sons, David (Renee) Hadorn of Fulton, and Joey Hadorn of Fulton; and grandchildren Abigail (C.J.) Lynch, August David Hadorn, III, Allison Dulany Hadorn, all of Fulton; a great-granddaughter, Kylie Jo Lynch of Fulton; a brother, James Hadorn of Batesville; and three sisters, Emma Hadorn, Gloria Davis, and Gracie Whitley, all of Batesville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four parents, Fred Hardorn, Billy Hadorn, Jesse Haddorn, and Franklin Hadorn.

Alice Holmes, 61, died July 29, 2019, at her home in Batesville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, at Cooley’s Mortuary Chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Larry Key officiating. Burial will follow at Eureka Church Cemetery in Courtland,

She was born March 8, 1958 in Courtland to William Ford.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.

 

Willard T. Landis, 76, passed away at his home in Nesbit. Service arrangements will be posted by Wells Funeral Home when finalized.
