Sardis Municipal Court had an extended docket because court did not meet the week before due to the July 4th holiday.

Joseph Ireland, 62 Dogwood Circle, Sardis, had served 10 days in jail, eight for Panola County and two for Sardis. He was given $50 credit on his old fines of $313. He was released from jail and ordered to pay the remainder of his fine.

A trial was held for Timothy Lee Douglas, 218 Edwin Circle, Sardis for disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct. He was found guilty in his absence and fined $472.50.

Marsell Edwards, 418 Juanita, Sardis, pleaded not guilty to simple assault against Shelia Edwards. He was given a court date of July 25 to present witnesses and a subpoena was issued for Shelia Edwards to appear in court.

William Carl Franklin, 307 Church St., Apt. 15, Como, had charges of no driver’s license, no insurance, disregard for a traffic device, careless driving, DUI first and disorderly conduct. Judge Rhea Tannehill accepted the guilty plea for four of the six charges. He remanded the no driver’s license to the file and dismissed the no insurance because he took responsibility for the other four charges. He was told to get his license while he was on probation. His total fines are $1,341.25. He got a 10-day suspended jail sentence, ordered to attend MASEP and given six months probation to pay the fine.

David Trece Gordon, 106 Thacker Loop, Oxford, had charges of no tag and no insurance dismissed. He showed proof he had a tag, but it was not on the vehicle at the time. He had two insurance cards and presented the expired card to the police officer. He showed proof that he had insurance at the time of the citation.

Unique Haywood paid her old fines of $260.50.

Brenda Hogue, 1612 West Lake Dr., Conway, Ark., pleaded not guilty and then changed her plea to guilty for possession of paraphernalia. She said the paraphernalia belonged to her friend who would not come to court with her. She was fined $376.25.

Bill Chase Holliday, 702 West Pearl Ext., Sardis, had to pay old fines of $217.25. Then his new charge of no insurance will be taken up in court Aug. 1. He pled guilty for no drivers license and open container and was fined $509.50, given a two-day suspended jail sentence and six months probation.

Gregory Oregus Johnson Jr., 2362 Stage Road, Senatobia, pled not guilty to simple assault and given a court date of Aug. 22.

Sinjayvious Jones, 81 Abrams Rd., Como, pleaded guilty to child restraint violation and was fined $223 and given a two-day suspended jail sentence.

Quentarrius Lester, 208 E. Lee St., Sardis, was given a continuance on a seat belt violation and no driver’s license charges until Aug. 22. The judge is giving him time to get his license before he returns to court.

Constance Lashun Little, 117 South Pocahontas St., Sardis, pleaded not guilty to simple assault against Shamika D. Petty. Petty filed charges she was after her with a boxcutter and pipe. A court date has been set for July 25.

Lakeshia Lashay Lloyd, 21101 Hwy 310 East, Como, had her no insurance charge remanded to the file since this was her first ticket ever in Sardis. She showed proof of insurance obtained after the violation.

John Mitchell, 107 Percyville, Sardis, pleaded guilty to no driver’s licensedand was fined $293 and given a two-day suspended jail sentence. His no insurance charge was remanded to the file after he showed proof he obtained insurance.

Keeta Lamon Osborn, 301 Dewberry, Sardis, pled guilty to no insurance and violating city ordinance of playing loud music. He was fined $637.25.

Anthony Patton has been incarcerated and all his charges were cleared.

Jadrein Shermaine Thomas, 104 Pine St., Walnut Grove, had charges of seat belt violation, driving while license suspended and simple assault against Greg Johnson. He also has to face the grand jury for felony theft of a vehicle and old charges from 2016 of DUI, driving while license suspended and no insurance. He was fined $1,277.50 and given six days in jail that he has to serve on the weekends with the last date July 27-29. He has to return to court Aug. 22.

Fredrick Dell Thompson, 311 Lincoln St., Sardis, pleaded not guilty and has his charges set for trial July 25. He is accused of simple assault by threatening bodily harm and making threats to kill Samir Yasin at Circle Z. He also has charges of disorderly conduct – interfering with a business, trespassing disorderly conduct-failure to comply when the police officer told him to stop.

James Roland Waits Jr., 4854 Park Place Rd., Como, pleaded guilty to seat belt violation  and no insurance and was fined $486. He pleaded not guilty to driving while his license were  suspended and has a trial set for July 25.

Kendrick Devone Walton, 311 Walton St., Sardis, had his charges of disregard for a traffic device and no insurance continued until July 25.

Kasey Nichole Covingon, 170 Dees Rd., Enid, pleaded guilty to seat belt violation and no insurance. She was fined $486, with a two-day suspended jail sentence and six months probation.

Trenevious Cox, 304 Dewberry St., Sardis, pled not guilty to expired tag and driving while license suspended and has to return to court July 25 for trial.

Demario Davis, 330 Center St., Sardis, paid his $75 fine for seat belt violation before court.

Joshua Andrew Debrock, 1801 State Highway E, Benton, Mo., paid his $223 fine before court for disregard of a traffic device.

Stan Frank, 3979 Lucius Taylor Rd., Como, paid his $75 fine for seat belt violation before court.

Robert Wayne Greene, 207 E. Lee St., Sardis, paid his $293 fine before court for disregard for a traffic device charge.

Lawrence Hoskins, 119 McLaurin St., Sadis had his expired tag charge remanded to the files.

Mary Ann Oliver, 86 Willow Ave., Sardis, paid her $293 fine before court for no driver’s license.

Linda William Price, 107 Percyville, Sardis, paid her $75 fine for seat belt violation before court.

Pamela Webb, 348 Greenhill Circle, Sardis, paid her no insurance fine of $411 before court.

Earl Wilson’s, 325 Center St., Sardis, careless driving and no driver’s license charges were remanded to the file.

Nichelle Antonette Wilson’s, 311 Greenhill Circle, Sardis, expired tag case was dismissed.

Jimmy Wooten Jr., 205 Vance St., Batesville, paid his $75 fine for seat belt violation before court.

Failure to Appear

Justin Wyatt Appleton, 503 East Carlee St., Sardis, failed to appear and was found guilty of seat belt violation and switched tag. He was fined $331.

Blake Jo Austin, 8 W. Walnut St., Magnolia, Del., was charged with seat belt violation and fined $75.

Kenisha Q. Benson, 931 Rock Hill Rd., Sardis, was charged with a seat belt violation and fined $75.

Nakita Buford, 1308 Hammon Hill Rd., Como, had a seat belt and no insurance violations and was fined $368.

Janetra Renise Burgess, 3436 Nash Rd., Batesville, failed to appear to answer charges of no drivers license and no insurance and was fined $704.

Kevin Dewayne Cook was charged with no drivers license and seat belt violation and was fined $368.

Found guilty in his absence was Deadrain Antonio Coper, 450 Campus Trail, Starkville, for seat belt violation and no drivers license. He was fined $368.

Michael Dewayne Dandridge, 3697 Holly Grove Rd., Sardis, was fined $368 for seat belt violtion and expired drivers license.

Corolarious Rkisze Ford, 314 Green Hill Circle, Sardis, was fined $604 for improper equipment and no insurance.

Michael E. Gann, 11 Ed Mitchell Drive, Enid, was charged with trespassing and stalking and fined $1,252.50.

Jaquara Gross, 139 Graham Rd., Sardis, was found guilty of no insurance and fined $411.

Anthony Lee Hayes, 584 Eagle Bead Cv., Memphis was charged with improper turn and fined $193.

Kyndall Hentz, 2080 Woodhill Rd., Horn Lake was fined $616 for disregard for a traffic device and driving while license suspended.

Shivonte Mykia Hill, 414 Franklin St., Sardis, was fined $546.25 for malicious mischief.

Randy Ingram, 28837 Hwy 51, Como, was fined $75 for a seat belt violation.

Kenney Terrel Jones, 5037 Landfill Rd., Crenshaw failed to appear to answer charges of seat belt violtion and no insurance and was fined $486.

Michael Jones, 399 Connie Ross Rd., Como, had a preliminary DUI-fourth, reckless driving and no insurance.

A trail was held in Jatarvious R. Logan’s absence. The 679 Bill Wallace Rd., Sardis, resident was found guilty of driving while his license suspended-implied consent, no insurance and DUI first. He ran his car in a ditch and officer Bobby West said he smelled of intoxicating beverages on him. Logan refused the field sobriety test and also the test in jail. He was fined $1,648.50.

Zaiviars, 145 Dandridge Rd., Como, did not appear in court to answer charges of disregard for a traffic device, driving while license suspended and expired tag. He faces a fine of $847.75.

Tyrek Devon Miller, 103 Palestine Dr., Coldwater, was fined $486 for seat belt violation and no insurance.

Sharda Danielle Mottley, 397 Old Panola Rd., Como, was fined $293 for no drivers license.

Cortayvion Norwood, 4550 Barnacre Rd., Sardis, was fined $704 for no drivers license and  no insurance.

Tiara Lasha Oliver, 236 Humphrey Ave., Crowder, was fined $75 for seat belt violation in her absence.

Austin Taylor Penning, 30027 Wren Cemetery Rd., Aberdeen, was fined $223 in his absence for disregard for a traffic device.

LaToya Sherell Polke, 319 Cauthen Circle, Senatobia, was fined $293 for no drivers license.

Laquasha Lashay Porter, 799 Belmont Rd., Apt. 51, Sardis, was fined $293 for no drivers license.

Kendarious D. Sandridge, 28 JB Drive, Coldwater, has been charged $223 for disregard for a traffic device.

Sheila Suzanne Tucker, 950 Flag Lake Rd., Sarah, had no tail lights and driving while license suspended and was fined $586.

Jomorrious Montrell Walls, 22700 Hwy 51 North, Sardis, failed to appear and was charged $486 for seat belt violation and no insurance.

Nekesia Shanae Watson, 931 Rock Gill, Sardis, was charged with seat belt violation and child restraint violation and fined $298 in her absence.
