June 15

Panola County Rust College Alumni chapter will host an Alumni Dress to Impress Gala at the Nale´ Photographer/Event Coordinator, 459 Highway 6 East, Batesville, near Fred’s. Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. Guest speaker is Michael Robinson, GE plant manager. Formal dress is required. Word of Life Ministry Church, 12036 Hwy 51 South, Oakland, will have a Marriage Empowerment Luncheon at 1 p.m. Hosts and speakers are Minister Tracie Cauthern and Evangelist Lisa Cauthern with the topic “When your marriage is under attack, take back what belongs to you,.” Overseers are Apostle Samuel and Dr. Carolyn C. Jones.

Sardis Lake Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School, “Moose on the Loose”, Monday thru Thursday for ages four years old to 12th grade from  6 to 8 p.m., registration 5:30 p.m. Pick up is available. Contact 609-0546 for more information.

June 20

Sardis Lake Baptist Church will have Battle of the Badges for its VBS challenge at 6 p.m. with Batesville Police Chief McCloud (girls) vs Panola County Sheriff Dennis Darby (boys). All donations will go to the Badges of Faith Ministry to buy police equipment for Honduras Police Department.

June 19-21

Pilgrim’s Rest M.B. Church, 2727 Cotton Plant Rd., will host its annual Vacation Bible School, June 19-21 at 6:30 nightly. This year’s theme is You vs. Sin: Will You Win?

June 23-26

Shiloh United Methodist Church, 243 Avery Road, Batesville, will have revival Sunday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. each night.

June 24-28

Persimmon Hill M.B. Church will have Vacation Bible School at 7 p.m. each night. The theme is “On Safari: Managing What Belongs to God.” Church pastor is Andrew Fluker.

First Baptist Church, 108 W. Lee St., Sardis, will have Vacation Bible School, Monday through Friday, June 24-28 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. Children ages 3 to 12 years are invited to attend. Theme is “In the Wild: Amazing Encounters with Jesus.”

July 7

The United Fellowship M.B. Church, 263 Highway 6 West, Batesville will have 100 Women in Hats service at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Jeffery K. McMullen is pastor.

July 7-12

Pope Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School “In the Wild” from 6 to 8:15  p.m. Sunday thru Friday. Registration is from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Sunday, July 7, for ages 3 to 12th grade.

Weekly

Celebrate Recovery With Jesus will meet each Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Victory Independent Baptist Church on Hwy. 51S, two-and-a-half miles south of Batesville on the right. Bring all your hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Call 209-7773 for more information.

Impact Life Ministries Family Worship Center will meet every Sunday at 11 a.m. at a City-Wide event at the Batesville Public Library. Pastors are Apostle Randall and Lady Lashawn Mitchell. All are welcome.
