Cafe Ole’, Panola People winners at Hudson Park

Clayton Hentz scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning  to give Cafe Ole’  a 7-6 victory over Panola Paper Tuesday to remain undefeated at 10-0 in the 11&12 year-old baseball division.

Panola Paper (4-5-1) tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the fifth as Marcus Christon, Jr., led off the inning with a walk and later scored on a wild pitch.

Cafe Ole’ trailed 5-3 in the fourth before plating three runs on consecutive singles by D.J.Weston, Levi Daniel and Caleb Karsten.

Weston earlier added an inside-the-park home run to lead off the second inning.

Christon and Taylor Anderson staked Panola Paper to a 2-0 lead in the first on back-to-back singles before Cafe Ole’ cut the lead in half in the bottom half of the frame on a Alex Jackson RBI single.

Kirsten also tripled while Kason Dettor and Hentz collected singles for Cafe Ole’. Jarel Turner and Braxton Simmerman recored singles for Panola Paper.

In the opening game, Seale Pool picked up its                                 win of the season with a 8-3 victory over Go Performance.

Stale Pool (1-8-1) broke open a 3-3 tie with a five-run fourth inning. Walker Cook drove in two runs with a single while Z’kilan Smith added a RBI double later in the frame.

Jaden Dishmon, Caleb Lyle, Keyshaun Washington and Matthew Seale provided singles in the winning effort. Smith also belted a run-scoring triple in the third.

Gabe Flagg and Caleb Willis each singled for Go Performance which evened their record to 4-4-1 on the season.
