Four Lady Tigers make All-District

Division 2-6A fastpitch softball released its All-District team this week, and four South Panola High School players were named to the team – seniors KJ Hentz, Ali Cummins, Makayla Ales and junior Bailey Russell.
Hentz, catcher, signed a national letter of intent to play at Mississippi College. She was also named to the NEMC All-Star team. She had two home runs for the season. She led at the plate batting .481, with 25 RBIs, eight doubles and four triples.
Cummins, first baseman, batted .455 this year. She collected 12 doubles and one triple and led in RBIs with 29. Cummins will enroll in the nursing program at Delta State University and has chosen to not continue softball in college.
Ales, center fielder, hit at a .319 clip.
Russell, second baseman, batted .367 with 23 runs, nine RBIs, two doubles and a triple.
