The following cases were heard in Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday, Jan. 9, with Judge Jay Westfaul presiding:

Xavier Bailey, no address given, was given a Jan. 23 initial court appearance on charges of no driver’s license, no seat belt, and no insurance.

Hector Ibarra, 1572 Tyro Rd., Holly Springs, was found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and no driver’s license. Ibarra paid a $614 fine prior to court.

Marquezzo C.Pryor, 200 Leonard St. Apt. B Batesville, pleaded guilty to open container and fwas ined $327 due in 30 days.

Lorice P. Holmes, 200 Leonard St., Batesville, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and open container. A Jan. 30 trial date was given.

Tracy L. Barksdale, Jr.,110 Martinez St, Batesville, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, no insurance, no driver’s license, no tag and running a stop sign plus was ordered to pay old fines all totaling $1,810 due in 30 days.

Lena Burdette, 752 Tubbs Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to domestic violence-simple assault and fined $417 due in 30 days.

April Burney-Partridge, 585 Perkins St., Crowder, failed to appear on a shoplifting charge. Alright Bonding Co. was notified.

Nicholas Daugherty, 2311 Truslow Rd., Sarah, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146 due in 30 days.

Tammy L. Ivy, 112 Eureka St., Batesville, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was fined $1,146 due in 30 days.

Annette Flowers, 106 Flowers Rd., Pope, pleaded guilty to non-payment of old fines totaling $947

Tracy L. Barksdale, Sr. 211 Jones St., Batesville, had contempt of court charges continued.

Shakiffany K. Powell, 203 Vaughn St., Batesville, paid old fines totaling $170 prior to court.

Anthony D. Toliver, 221 Tubbs Rd., Batesville, pleaded guilty to non-payment of old fines totaling $1,558 due in 30 days.

William D. Meucci, 1934 Cypress Corner, Senatobia, had charges of felony possession of a controlled substance bound over to the Panola Co. grand jury.

Brandin L. Schille, 9009 Wilson Mill, Rd., Lake Cormorant, had charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license bound over to the Panola Co. grand jury.

Douglas S. Roby, 554 E. Madison St,. Durant, had charges of possession of a firearm by a felon. open container, driving with a suspended license and obstruction of a city street bound over to the Panola Co. grand jury.

Keiandra Thomas, 6091-C Barnacle Rd., Sardis, failed to appear on a felony embezzlement charge. The case was bound over to the Panola Co. grand jury.

In trial cases:

Joshua Putman, 536 Brown Rd., Pope, had charges of careless driving and first offense DUI remanded to the files at the request of the State of Mississippi.

Dominique D. Ware,321 Hays St., Batesville, had a simple domestic violence case remanded to the files.

Lorenzo Ward, 321 Hays St, Batesville, was found not guilty of simple domestic violence but was sentenced to 30 days in jail for contempt of court.

Robert Byron Denley, Jr. 302 Hickory Ln., Batesville, had a case of possession of marijuana in a vehicle and possession of a stolen firearm continued.

Kayla Frost, no address given, was found guilty of running a stop sign and fined $50
