NDS moves to 1-4A for football

North Delta School will journey into new territory next fall after the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) announced this week the classification realignment for the 2019-21 athletic seasons.
Starting in the fall of 2019, the Green Wave will move into the newly-formed District 1-4A (football-only) with Clarksdale Lee, Kirk, Central Holmes (Lexington) and Winston Academy (Louisville).
North Delta will remain in Class 3A in all other sports which will include Marshall, Lee and Kirk.
Magnolia Heights moves up to Class 5A in football only with Bayou, Washington School, Pillow, Heritage and Starkville, but remains 4A in other sports with Bayou, Washington School and Pillow.
Former North Delta district foe Indianola will remain 3A in all sports.
