Jamie Harris Butler

Jamie Harris Butler, 49, died April 25, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Macedonia M. B. Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Butler was born Aug. 27, 1968 to James and Francis Wilkens Harris. She was a certified nursing assistant.

Bobby Joe Rodgers

Bobby Joe Rodgers, age 86, passed away Sat., April 28, 2018, at his home in Batesville. Mr. Rodgers was the widower of Billie Locke Rodgers and Laverne Jones Rodgers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wed., May 2, 2018, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Steven Jenkins, Drake Black, Jeff Booth, Josh Booth, J.T. Scott, Chris Rodgers, Bubba Rodgers and Shea Rodgers.
Bobby was born March 8, 1932 in Quitman County to the late Lonnie William and Clytee Griffin Rodgers. He was a self-employed farmer who loved riding his four-wheeler, taking care of his cows and watching old western movies. In Bobby’s earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a faithful member of Locke Station Baptist Church.
Bobby leaves behind a loving memory that will be cherished by his three daughters, Tawana Jenkins (James), Kim Darby, and Joey Black (Joey) , all of Batesville; sister, Brenda Tallent of Grenada; six grandchildren, Heather Jenkins Scott (Bobby), Steven Jenkins (Kristin), Jeff Booth, Josh Booth, Shelby Black, Drake Black; four great-grandchildren, Payton Scott, Anna Scott, J. T. Scott and Parker Jenkins.
In addition to his wives and parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter, Debrah R. Macknally (David); sister, Gloria Johnson; three brothers, John Rodgers, Carl Rodgers, Lonnie W. “L.W.” Rodgers, Jr; two grandchildren, Brent Macknally and Jeri Booth.

Dewey “Mack” Lee Smith

Dewey “Mack” Lee Smith, 70, of Batesville, passed away at his home surrounded by his wife and sisters on April 23, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Smith and Mattie Lee Smith, brother, William “Bubba” Smith, sister, Deley “Nancy” Bowles and his stepson, Damon Nelson.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 20 years, Brenda Melton Smith; sister, Linda Fox of Batesville; sister, Joann Allred of Oxford; stepson, Ryan Melton; stepdaughter, Caitie Melton; grandson, Anton “AJ” Hampton, and a host of family members.
A memorial will be held May 12 at Sardis Lake by the marina at 10 a.m.

Gene Autry White, 78, passed away Sat., April 28, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced once finalized by the family.
