June Woodruff McCulley

BATESVILLE–June Woodruff McCulley, age 70, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 3, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family and close friends. June was the widow of Ronald M. McCulley.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the Independence Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Antioch Cemetery near Courtland. Dr. Doug Sullivan-Gonzalez will officiate the service. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bryant McCulley, Culley Johnson, Dylan Gossett, Stevie McMinn, John Holt and David Durham; honorary pallbearers are James Horace Finnie and Jimmy Herron.
June was born June 17, 1947 in Lafayette County, to the late Bryant and Verna McKee Woodruff.
June was the former owner of Greene Acres Nursery and following retirement, she took on the role of homemaker.  She was a faithful and dedicated member of Independence Presbyterian Church, where she played the piano for many years.
June will be most remembered by her daughter, Allyson McCulley Ellis (Mike) of Batesville; son, Brad Woodruff McCulley (Christy) of Courtland; five grandchildren, Robert Bryant McCulley, Bart Culley Johnson, Jacey Johnson Gossett, Landon Gaddie Johnson, and Katie Madison McCulley.
In addition to her husband and parents, June was preceded in death by a son, Bart McCulley, and a brother, Stacy McKee Woodruff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to Independence Presbyterian Church, 10700 Highway 35 South, Batesville, MS  38606.
