Dear Rita, Rupert, John and all of The Panolian staff,

The Bartlett family and the Home Place Pastures staff send a big thank you for all the coverage and feature articles about the opening of our USDA Processing Plant and retail Shop. Your interest and support in reporting our plans for wholesale and custom butchering has reached over 20,000 households and we hope through this business to help enhance and grow Mississippi’s local food economy. So many people have already enthusiastically supported Marshall’s vision of raising slaughter ready livestock right here on the farm and we encourage all to come to the retail shop to buy Home Place fresh meat cuts, sausages and bratwursts and take a tour of the processing plant and the farm.

The Panolian continues to cover all events in our county ranging from new businesses to students honors to positive after school programs, innovative educational job training programs in our schools across the county. award winning library programs, political news, accurate reporting of monthly town board meetings and an award winning  Sports and Outdoors section. You keep us well informed of all the myriad activities happening in Panola County. And an informed public is better able to make intelligent decisions about the future direction of Panola County. The Panolian gives all of us a positive stake in Panola County’s future.
