Batesville Jr. High Lady Tigers down NP Lady Cougars while Cougars boys down Tigers

North Panola and Batesville Jr. High went head-to-head in a battle of the county. Both teams manufactured a win going 1-1 between the two schools.
The Lady Cougars faced the Lady Tigers in the first game if day. The Lady Tigers came out victorious 19-13.
The game was dominated by the Lady Tigers. Batesville controlled the flow of the game with their rebounding presence.
Batesville Jr. High led the entire game but North Panola closed in during the fourth quarter.
The Lady Cougars hit big shots but the Lady Tigers came back every time with even bigger shots.
Kiersten Clark and Bailey Ware came through in the clutch for Batesville Jr. High with big steals in the final three minutes.
The Lady Tigers held on until the end with a win 19-13.
The boys game was one of the best in the county so far into the short season. The Cougars came out with a 30-27 win.
The game was dominated throughout by the Tigers until the fourth quarter when the game came down to missed free throws and key turnovers by the Tigers.
Tony Davis Jr. and Cedquavious Hunter hit two big three pointers that pushed the Cougars over the top to get the win.
