State reps to attend forum

Four state legislators representing Panola County will answer questions in a town-hall-style session to open next Thursday’s annual Panola Partnership Fall Forum.
Senators Lydia Graves Chassaniol and Gray Tollison and Representatives Lataisha Jackson and Nolan Mettetal will address questions in a moderated panel discussion that starts at 8:45 a.m.  October 20 at the Batesville Civic Center.
The opening session will be sponsored by Merit Health Batesville and follows a 7:30 a.m. “Business ‘N Biscuits” full catered breakfast.
YPP, the Young Professionals of Panola will host a networking break at 10 a.m., preceding the second session, “Bridging the Gap,” that will address challenges created for business by generational gaps.
First Tennessee Bank Retail Leadership Development Program Coordinator Beckey Boyd will discuss how to create a successful workplace for employees of different generations.
A noon lunch at the Panola Country Club, sponsored by Guaranty Bank and Trust and Imerys Ceramics/KY Clay Co., will include a presentation on the value of the workforce.
Mississippi Community College Board Executive Director Dr. Andrea Scott Mayfield is the speaker.
The annual golf scramble starts at 1:30 p.m.
