North Delta was outmatched against Indianola Friday night losing 42-13.
The Colonels of Indianola looked poised to win from the start, racking up 28 points in the first quarter while keeping the Green Wave scoreless.
North Delta (2-4 overall, 1-2 district) had a total of 162 yards of offense for the night.  They were outgained by 188 yards as Indianola earned 350 yards of offense.
Most of Indianola’s came in the first quarter where the Colonels had 182 yards of total offense versus 49 Green Wave yards.
North Delta could not get anything going while also not being able to stop whatever Indianola threw at them. Whether it was a pass over the top on an intricate pass play or simply running a dive up the middle, everything was working for the Colonels.
North Delta never ceased to show effort as they did score twice.  The first scoring drive came in the second quarter where Indianola was leading 35-0.
Senior quarterback Will Kidder found running back Kaleb Joyner for a 13-yard pass for the first down at the 41 Colonel yard line. Kidder then found running room as he ran for a nine-yard gain to bring up a 4th-and-1. He then ran for two more yards.
The next two plays belonged to Jimmy Manues running for six and five yards, respectively. A similar pattern occurred and the Green Wave found themselves at the four yard line after a Manues 14-yard run.
Kidder finished the drive with a touchdown throw to Luke Daniels.
The next Green Wave score happened early in the fourth quarter on 4th-and-15 from the 25-yard line.  Kidder dropped back to pass, surveyed his options, and darted the ball to a sprinting Tyler Holland on a post route for a 25-yard touchdown grab.
They look to stop their two game losing streak with a homecoming win over Bayou Friday Night at 7 p.m.
The queen will be crowned at halftime.
