Approximately 100 citizens occupied Panola County’s courtroom in Batesville Monday morning when the Panola County Tax Assessor/Collector’s Office held the annual Land Sale for Taxes. Many of those attending were there to pay delinquent taxes on their property while many were there to pay the taxes to earn interest on taxes paid or have an opportunity to own land at the end of the process.
