Volunteers, donations sought for Eight Days of Hope

Eight Days of Hope, the Christian disaster relief ministry in which a number of Panola Countians have volunteered, is set to begin work today in the Baton Rouge area where heavy rains last week brought flooding, affecting thousands.
EDOH ambassador Sonshine Ashcraft of Pope said the organization is seeking contact information of those who need their help.
“If you have friends or family in Baton Rouge and their home was flooded please have them email their name, cell number, address to to hopereigns@eightdaysofhope.com,” Ashcraft said. “Please have patience because so many have been affected.”
Also needed are volunteer workers, who can register through www.eightdaysofhope.com
“Housing, meals, and jobs of service are provided,” explained  Ashcraft. “Bring toiletries, bedding, clothing, water, repellent, and what you need after registering online. Many of us in Panola County have served together through this ministry and God has provided us yet another opportunity to live out the gospel in faith and love.”
Donations can be made at the above email address.
