OXFORD – As summer fades and the anticipation for a big fall sports season builds, Ole Miss fans should make their plans for 2016 Meet the Rebels Day.
The annual event will take place Saturday, August 13 at the Manning Center on campus.
Doors will open to Rebel Kids’ Club Members (with up to two parents or guardians) at 12:30 p.m., at the east entrance of the facility, by the Grill at 1810.

The general public may enter at 1 p.m. through the south entrance, which faces the track & field complex.
Fans are encouraged to park in the parking garage located at the corner of Hill Drive and All-American Drive.
As the Manning Center opens, the Rebel soccer, volleyball, rifle and spirit squads will be greeting fans and signing autographs.
Football coaches and players will be signing autographs and visiting with fans from 1 until 3 p.m., when the event comes to a close.
In order to quicken the lines and accommodate as many people as possible, fans are limited to one autographed item per individual player or coach, and photos or videos with football coaches and players will not be permitted.
The Rebel Locker Room will be selling apparel, media guides and other merchandise.
Additionally, the Ole Miss Athletics Ticket Office will be selling single-game tickets to the Rebels’ home opener against Wofford (Sept. 10).
New team posters will be handed out and fans can also get their picture taken with the Sugar Bowl Trophy, the Magnolia Bowl Trophy as well as Egg Bowl Trophy.
Chick-fil-A will be providing boxed lunches for purchase, and a food tasting exhibit will also be available at the event.
A live broadcast from the stage will air on Q105 (105.1 and 105.5 FM in the Oxford area) beginning at 1 p.m. with an on-air team led by the “Voice of the Rebels” David Kellum.
Several Ole Miss coaches and administrators will be interviewed, including head football coach Hugh Freeze and athletics director Ross Bjork. Admission to Meet The Rebels is free.
Fans will enter via the south entrance of the Manning Center. Admission is first-come, first-serve.
The line for Meet The Rebels will form at the south end of the Manning Center and continue toward Hill Drive. Only one entrance will be used to enter for the event.
Fans posting on social media about their Meet the Rebels Day experience should use the hashtag #MeetTheRebels.
