Panola County,  joined by Batesville and Courtland, is asking residents to get out Saturday and pick up litter. Bags can be obtained from the courthouses in Batesville and Sardis and Town Hall in Crenshaw through today.

Taking part in Clean-Up America, a nation-wide emphasis on litter, residents are asked to pick up trash along roadsides and elsewhere to beautify their areas.

Panola County crews will pick up filled trash bags for those who call inlocations to 563-6200 next Monday.
