“What do you get when you combine sunshine, a race track, friends, fast trucks, dirt, mud, the smell of race fuel, a light tree and some incredibly talented drivers?—You get a perfect race weekend,” according to Mindy Morel, fan of Lake Susie Dirt Track and friend of owner Susan Camp as engines were revved for this weekend’s Southern Mud Outlaw Racing at the track today and tomorrow.
It’s “Racin’ the way it ought’ A be,” according to the flyer as Renegade, Outlaw/Prostock and Mega Trucks will be in the mudpit.
Tonight there will be one race on the dirt track. Saturday, there will be two races, one on the dirt track and one in the mud pit.
Big trucks with tractor tires will also be going through the mud pit.
Today games open at 3 p.m. and races begin at 6:30 p.m.
Tomorrow, gates open at 9 a.m. and races begin at 3 p.m.
The Megatrucks will be there for Saturday racing.
Friday admission is $10 with kids 10 and under free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Saturday, admission is $20 with kids 10 and under free. To attend both days, the price is $25.
“It’s a good time for you to have a decent place to come and spend time with family and friends, drink, eat and watch fun racing,” said Camp.
