Leadership strong in continuing work of local B&G Club

Congratulations are due LaTasha Rice on the first anniversary as Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Mississippi.
Of course, when former director Belinda Morris resigned last year to take another job, we thought there was no one else who would fit the job so well. What we overlooked was that Morris would never have moved to another job in the first place if she had not been satisfied that she would be followed by a capable replacement. Nor would she have been unavailable to her successor to help ease through the transition.
Then there are the other members of the Boys and Girls Club staff including Director Dennis Hoskins whose passion for positive influence on young people knows no bounds.
There is a good chemistry at the Boys and Girls Club that exceeds the sum of its people and extends into the entire community.
Deuce McAllister (also known for a passion for positive influence) will speak at the annual Steak and Steak Dinner, Thursday, March 24.
The annual fundraising dinner helps the club continue operation through lean summer months when other funding sources near depletion, Rice told members of the Batesville Exchange Club this week.
The Boys and Girls Club has become a community asset that we can be proud of. Help show your support at the March 24 Steak and Steak Banquet.
And while you are there, you can personally congratulate Ms. Rice and the staff for doing such a good job.
Because they are!
