Chuck Wayne Aldison

Chuck Aldison, 47, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving and caring family.
Services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church in Batesville. Burial was held at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw. Rev. Wilbur Carter and Dr. Tommy Snyder officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Aldison, born Feb. 29, 1968, in Clarksdale, to Sue Page Aldison of Batesville and the late Robert Edward Aldison, graduated high school in 1985 from North Delta School in Sardis and went on to play one year of football in 1986 for the Ole Miss Rebels under head football coach Billy Brewer. For the past five years, Chuck has been a construction superintendent for Roy Anderson Construction Company of Gulfport. He was also co-owner of Duck Hole Farms in Sledge. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Batesville and also a Mason of the former Masonic Lodge in Crenshaw.
Survivors along with his mother include; his wife, Michelle Powers Aldison of Batesville; three daughters, Madison Aldison, Erin Aldison, and Miley Aldison, all of Batesville; one son, Gage Aldison of Batesville; one brother, Certy Aldison of Batesville and one grandson.

Bobbie Lee Ellis

BATESVILLE–– Bobbie Ellis, 77, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Golden Living Center.
No services will be held at this time. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Ellis, born Feb. 18, 1938, to the late James and Ida Turner Ellis, in Gurthrie, Ky., was a member of the VFW of Hernando.
Survivors include: two daughters, Angela Ellis and Lori Ellis, both of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Timothy Ellis of Grand Prairie, Texas; two brothers, Doug Ellis of Kentucky and Jack Ellis of Texas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made in Bobbie’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001.

OAKLAND, Calif.––Willie McDaniel Jr., 79, formerly of Batesville, died Monday, February 15, 2016, in Oakland, Calif.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at LIfe Changing Outreach Ministries in Batesville. Visitation will be held from noon – 1 p.m. at the church. Eddie Robinson Funeral Home has charge.
McDaniel, born Nov. 19, 1936, to the late Willie Bailey McDaniel and Marsha Minerva Griffin McDaniel, in Batesville, graduated from high school and attended college. He moved to California and started his own company, “WM Trucking.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Keeler McDaniel.
Survivors include: three sons, Willie James Madison of Batesville, Jason McDaniel and Casey McDaniel, both of Oakland, Calif.; one daughter, Kimberly McDaniel of Sacramento, Calif.; six sisters, ElJean Thurman of Indianapolis, Ind., Rebecca Battle of Tinley Park, Ill., Jerlene Dickerson of Cleveland, Ohio, Wilma Herring and Genevia Jackson, both of Southaven and Betty Davis of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Ralph McDaniel of Florissant, Mo. and George McDaniel of Senatobia and eight grandchildren.

Eddie Calvin Taylor

TILLATOBA–– Eddie Calvin Taylor, 64, died, Thursday,February 18, 2016, at his residence. Eddie is the husband of Faye Bradley Taylor.
Services were held Sunday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was held at Longtown Cemetery. Hal Johnson officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Taylor, born March 14, 1951, to the late Calvin Lincoln Taylor and Dorothy May Bell Jones Taylor, in Lambert, was a carpenter and a Baptist.
Survivors along with his wife include: children; Bonnie Hoop of Tillatoba, Larry Taylor of Sardis, Randy Bradley of Batesville, Mark Welch of Pontotoc, and Bobby Wayne Alred of Tillatoba; one sister, Annie Ruth Putman of Sardis; and brother, Ricky Taylor of Water Valley.
