Sunday evening passersby at the Batesville Elementary School’s red brick building found the sight of fire trucks eerily reminiscent of the scene there last July when firefighters struggled to save the historic building as the adjacent kindergarten building was destroyed.
Batesville firemen responded with three engines and searched the historic structure from attic to basement before deciding that they had been summoned by a faulty alarm.
