Zelma Louise Cook
MARKS––Zelma Louise Cook, 69, died Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Marks.

Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Cook was the cafeteria manager for Quitman County High School for 21 years and is survived by her husband, Charles Cook of Marks; daughters, Mary (Terry) Franklin of Sledge, Pam Kerr of Harrison, Ark.; brothers, Harvey Matthews of Senatobia, Thomas Matthews of Sledge; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Corean Sprayberry
SARDIS––Corean Sprayberry, 96, the widow of Buford A. Sprayberry Sr., died Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel Funeral Home in Covington, Tenn. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery with Rev. Craig Batson officiating the services.

She was preceded in death by her son, Buford Sprayberry Jr.; daughter, Jeanie Crowder; and grandson, Chad Cromwell.

She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and also attended Union Baptist Church in Sardis.

Survivors include: son, Terry Lee (Shelia) Sprayberry of Twain Harte, Calif.; five daughters, Georgia Ann Goforth of Memphis, Wanda Lee Joy of Covington, Christine (Lee) Breuning of Fairdealing, Mo., Kathleen (Mark) Everingham of Millington, Tenn., and Pamella (Roger) Comer of Sardis; two brothers, Allen (Joyce) Cornett of Fouke, Ark. and Roy Gene Cornett of Fouke, Ark.; sisters, Mary Crabtree of Fouke and Janie Cunningham of Texarkana; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

The family has asked that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
