Annie Louise Ford Herring
Annie Louise Ford Herring, 91, homemaker, died August 6, 2015 at her home in Courtland.
She was a native of Panola County. She was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Herring, Sr.

She was a member of Johnson Chapel  A.M.E. Zion Church, she organized the choir and served as choir president for numerous years. She organized the junior ushers while serving on the Adult Usher board. She served as Stewardess, Deaconess, class leader ministry, home mission worker and district usher president.

Services were held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial was in the church cemetery; Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford had charge.

Survivors include: five daughters, Mary L. Wright Parker, Oklahoma  City, Okla.; Dorothy King, Courtland; Helen Herring, Germantown, Tenn.;  Glory Davis, Edmond, Okla.; Rev. Tammy J. Herring, Courtland; two sons, Jerry Ford, Courtland; David L. Herring, Oakland; three grandchildren that she raised as her own, Bobbie N. Wright, Denise Wright, Cordova; Jamal Herring, Walls, MS; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren

Ola Mae Harper
BATESVILLE––Ola Mae Harper, 84, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Golden Living Center.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Peach Creek Cemetery in Sardis.

Harper, born June 23, 1931, to the late James Joseph Smith and Annie Mae McCarver Smith, was a homemaker and owned a grocery and furniture store with her late husband, Wilfred H. Harper, in Darling.

Survivors include: her son, Rickey Lynn Harper of Driscoll, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Harper Bryant of Batesville; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. 

Martha Quay Franks Snyder
CROWDER––Martha Quay “Mott” Franks Snyder, 72, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence.

Memorial services were held at Crowder Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Snyder, born in Lambert to the late Joe Willie Franks and Pauline Hitchcock Franks, was a member of Crowder Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, Jerry Melton Snyder of Crowder; one daughter, Shelly Rene Snyder Simi of Tracy’s Landing, MD; one son, Tony Randall Snyder of Dallas, Ore.; one sister, Joleen Shelton Pitts of Senatobia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
