Cecil Adams
POPE––Cecil Adams, 75, died Sunday evening, August 9, 2015, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

Cecil is the husband of Lori Adams of Pope.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville.

Cecil was born June 5, 1940 in in Thomastown, to the late Cecil Lanuel Adams and Helen Williamson Adams. He retired after 31 years from United Parcel Service in Memphis where he was a feeder driver. During his lifetime, Cecil enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and particularly bar-b-queing on the grill.

Survivors include: his wife, Lori Farris Adams of Pope; two daughters, Tracey Renee Adams of Cabot, Ark., Kristy Leigh Adams of Southaven; two sons, Charles Ronald Adams of Arlington, Tenn. and Jeffery Guy Adams of Lewisburg, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren 

Emma Jean Moore Golden
SARDIS––Emma Jean Moore Golden, 70, died Friday, August 7, 2015, in Sardis.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the home of Sam Golden, 211 Vick St., Batesville. Dale Beaver will officiate.

Golden, born June 13, 1945, in Belen, to the late Grady Moore and Mary Ellar Goodnight, was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Earl Golden and grandchildren, Joseph and Dallas Golden.

Survivors include: one daughter, Teresa Blaylock of Sardis; four sons, Scott Golden of Winona, Samuel Golden and Bobby Golden, both of Batesville and Daniel Golden of Sardis; six sisters, Frances Russell and Nancy Carpenter, both of Cleveland, Christine Sellers of Lambert, Louise Smith of Courtland, Linda Schiefer of Clinton, Bonnie Beaver of Crenshaw; three brothers, Jimmy Moore of Marks, Eugene Moore of Molton, Ala. and Zeke Moore of Cashier, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Donna Ruth Bishop Harris
OAKLAND–– Donna Ruth Bishop Harris, 67, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at her home in Oakland. She was the sister of Johnna Ashmore of Batesville.

 She was born May 23, 1947, the oldest of seven children, to the late J.R. and Charlene Bishop Savage.  Donna was retired from Kroger where she worked as a cashier.

 A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15, at 10:00 am in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley with Bro. Michael Haas officiating.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Willie Andrew Harris.

 Survivors include: daughters, Amy McCachren of Water Valley and Mildred Ann Hopper of Mt. Pleasant; her sisters, Lois Laster of Ala., Johnna Ashmore of Batesville, and Tracy Willyard of Ala; her brothers, Bo Savage of Rossville, Tenn. and Joe Savage of Somerville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 14  great-grandchildren.

Hulett “H.O.” Oswalt Moore
ENID–– Hulett “H.O.” Oswalt Moore, 85, died Friday, August 7, 2015, at his home in the Enid Lake area. He is the husband of Carolyn Bullard Moore.

Services were held Sundy at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park with Military Honors.

Moore, born October 27, 1929, to the late Hubert and Theresa Moore in Bellefontaine, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a retired truck driver employed with Matlack Chemical in Memphis.
He was preceded in death by one son, Marcus Randal Moore and two granddaughters Jerilyn Moore and Amanda Moore.

Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Bullard Moore of Pope; six children, JoEllen Doss of Calhoun City, Michael Moore of Calhoun City, Jeffery Moore of Hernando, Joy-Gale Hankins, Kim Moore and Jae-Rae Moore all of Pope, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Oliver
BATESVILLE––Kenneth Oliver,  70, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, at his home in near Batesville.

Services were held Monday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Oliver, born April 11, 1945 to the late Roy M. Oliver and Earnestine Brazzer Oliver in Clarksdale, served his country in the Air Force where he was an Airman First Class. He became a Master Mason in 1968 at Covington Lodge LA and transferred to Panola Lodge 66 in 2002. He was a member of The Batesville Shrine Club and First Faith Baptist Church. Kenneth retired after 17 years with Panola County where he was the County Appraiser.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Luna Louise Oliver.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Oliver Belvin of Batesville, one grandson, Brice Belvin of Batesville, and one great-grandson, Rowen Hoyt Belvin of Batesville.

Rhonda Darlene Vance Trusty
GRENADA––Rhonda Darlene Vance Trusty, 46, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at her home in Grenada, Mississippi.

A memorial were held Saturday at Elliot Baptist Church in Grenada. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Rhonda was born on August 18, 1968 in Greenwood, to Patsy and Robert Clifton Vance. She was the State of Mississippi Auditor for Speedy Cash Services.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Clifton Vance.

Survivors include: her husband, Mike Trusty of Grenada; three children, Alicia Smith of Courtland, Andrew Lynn Roberts of South Carolina, and Joshua Blake Roberts of Mississippi; her mother, Patsy Hathcock Vance of Grenada; sister, Karen Vance of Grenada; five grandchildren, Kaylee Hart, Ryder Roberts, Bryson Hart, Dominic Roberts, and Levi Smith.

Randy Herman Waddell
LITTLE ROCK––Randy Herman  Waddell, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Randy lost his long battle with liver disease while waiting on a liver transplant at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences.

Waddell, born on March 3, 1966, to Herman and Charlotte Ruth Waddell in Batesville,
graduated from Delta Academy. He then began one of the great relationships of his life when he attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). After graduation, he began a career as an Independent Insurance Broker that would span the rest of his life. He met and married the love of his life Elizabeth Ann Sides Waddell and they had two children. Jackson Sides Waddell and Olivia Ann Waddell

He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Herman Waddell of Marks.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann Sides Waddell of Little Rock; two children, Jackson Sides Waddell and Olivia Ann Waddell of Little Rock; mother, Charlotte Ruth Waddell of Marks.

Patricia Pattie Wilkie
BATESVILLE––Patricia Joyce “Pattie” Bagguley Wilkey, 40, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Yalobusha County.

Services were held Sunday at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Bob Self officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.

Wilkey, born June 3, 1975, in Grenada, was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Elmo Bagguley.

Survivors include: her husband, Charles Brian Wilkey; daughters, Randi Daniels Makamson of Grenada and Dani Daniels of Batesville; one son, Jackson Daniels of Batesville; her parents, Dotty and Ricky Fly of Scobey; two sisters, Tonya Mathews of Coffeeville and Jessica Flyof Scobey and one brother, Rynne Bagguley of Oxford.
