Batesville city officials are tentatively planning a Labor Day Fireworks Show following cancellation the 2015 Fourth of July Fireworks Show due to bad weather.

The mayor and aldermen discussed scheduling the makeup show for Friday, September 4 or Saturday, September 5 during the Labor Day weekend. Labor Day is Monday, September 7.

City officials did not choose which date at Tuesday’s meeting. Mayor Jerry Autrey said he would contact the fireworks vendor and report his conversation at the July 21 meeting of the board of mayor and aldermen.
