POPE–Robert F. Campbell, age 89, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, at his home. He was the widower of Joan Wray Campbell.

Born August 31, 1925 in Pope to the late Marion Lister and Alma Lea Whitten Campbell, he was a retired equipment operator for M.D.O.T. and a member of Wray’s Chapel Church of God. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and had a special love for bluegrass music.

Funeral services were February 9 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Shiloh Cemetery near Courtland. The Rev. Scott Curtis and the Rev. Raymond Aven officiated.

Survivors include four daughters, Sherry Campbell Martin, Nancy Campbell Major, Jill Campbell Addington and Peggy Campbell Lott, all of Batesville; three sons, Mike Campbell, Steve Campbell and Tim “Sparky” Campbell, all of Pope; a sister, Martha Barrett of Hernando; a brother, Larry Campbell of Pope; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
