Christa Mae Wright, 61, died Sunday, February 1, 2015, at her residence.

Services will be held Sunday, February 8 at 1 p.m. at Eureka A.M.E. Zion Church. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Rev. Jacob Hentz will officiate. Burial will be in Eureka Church Cemetery.

Wright, born Jan. 20, 1954, in Batesville, to the late R.B. Foster and Christine Denson, attended South Panola High School and Northwest Community College and Ashford University. She was a retired health administrator and a member of Eureka A.M.E. Zion Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Jessie Wright of Courtland; one daughter, Cassandra Rudd of Pope; one son, Jonathan Wright of Courtland; two sisters, Cedell Johnson of Pope and Celuster Blackburn of Batesville; two brothers, George Foster of Conyers, Ga. and Robert Foster of Silver Springs, Maryland and three grandchildren.
