Dozens of local businesses and professionals have taken advantage of The Panolian’s annual Best of Panola County contest and purchased ads in a special section included in this publication.

The popular competition allows The Panolian readers to vote for their favorites in numerous areas whether business, professionals, services and people. It also is a way for businesses to promote and motivate staff and use in marketing.

The Panolian Editor Rupert Howell stated the special section is one of the favorites of advertisers and requires a lot of effort by Panolian staffers over several weeks to produce.

Attorney Andy Yelton was once skeptical about the friendly competition but recently stated on Facebook, “So I used to think all these contests were rigged, but now I am convinced they are 100 percent legitimate!”

Yelton had been presented the certificate for Panola County’s Best Attorney.
