The school calendar for South Panola’s 2014-15 school year somewhat resembles the current year’s calendar with the addition of two weather days and graduation being held a week later.
Superintendent Tim Wilder explained state testing is a week later next year causing the later graduation date. “We had to do that,” he said.

First day for students in 2014-15 is August 5 with a Labor Day Holiday being the first holiday September 1.

Fall Break is scheduled for October 10 and 13, a Friday and Monday, followed in November by a week long Thanksgiving Holiday Nov. 24-28.

Christmas break begins with a 60 percent day on Friday, December 19 with school resuming January 6.

Martin Luther King Day is the first holiday of the second semester on January 19 followed by President’s Day February 16.

Spring Holidays are March 9-13, followed by Good Friday on April 3. The last day for pupils for the 2014-15 is scheduled for May 22, but if weather days are not needed, that date could be  moved forward.

Graduation is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2015.
