A shooting Wednesday night at Timberidge Apartments on Tubbs Road in west Batesville resulted in one man being air lifted to the Med in Memphis according to Batesville Assistant Police Chief Don Province.

The assistant chief said Tommy Robertson, 28, whose address is listed as Courtland, was flown to Memphis trauma hospital where he underwent surgery.

“We understand that he came through the surgery all right,” Province said Thursday morning.
No arrest had been made as of Thursday morning but Province stated that his department had,  “people we’re trying to find . . . and we know where to look.”

Province could not say the reason behind the shooting noting the motive was part of the ongoing investigation.
