Ministry withdraws rezoning request for boys home

To the Editor:

We want to thank you for placing the editorial about our Lighthouse of Hope MInistry in the Panolian a few weeks ago. Though we believe in our hearts God called us to this area to give a home for boys in a family ministry setting, due to the overwhelming response of the negative feedback and concerns of our neighbors, we are withdrawing our request to rezone this property. We believe our ministry would have touched all our neighbors’ hearts and blessed them in more ways then they can count, but we understand completely their concerns for rezoning.

We have decided because of this we will do whatever it takes to just move to Guyana and totally focus on our Children’s Home ministry there for now, reaching the orphans by housing, feeding, clothing and educating them.

Should any of you wish to take part in this in one way or another, there are many ways that you can do so. Please just give me a call. Our true heart’s desire is to make a difference in the lives of children in a less fortunate third world place, but also here in the USA.
Batesville, Mississippi is truly a beautiful area in which we really had looked forward to setting some roots in. We will miss it!

Thank you and may God bless you all!

Sincerely,
Ray and Kim Boltz
