Planning commission to consider rezoning of land near interstate

Batesville planning commissioners faced a full agenda of new business at last night’s meeting — the results of which were known too late to be included in this publication.

New business included a request for variance from Custom Sign Company to allow an LED message center to an existing pole signage for Urgent Team Clinic on Highway 6 east.

Mary Thurber with TNT Fireworks was to seek a conditional use permit for the Walmart Shopping Center area.

Alvan Kelly, owner of commercial property on the northeast quadrant of I-55 and Highway 6 intersection, was submitting a rezoning petition to change property from C-2 to C-3.

Nancy Bynum was submitting site and building design standards review for duplex construction on East Street.

Maribeth Haire was expected to to submit site and building design plans for review for Family Practice Clinic and Square Arts.

Robert Beard and Tommye W. Walker were seeking a setback variance for 222 Court Street.

Loves Travel Stop will offer site and building design standards for review for an addition to their tire barn and a variance request to use  metal panels.

John Shaw was planning to present site and building design standards for review for a car sales lot office on Dell Street.

Also Pam Comer who serves as that board’s office administrator was expected to present landscaping changes proposed for Raceway gas station on property near Lowe’s on Highway 6.
