Exit loops close Monday at I-55 and 6 interchange

A permanent shift in traffic at the Interstate 55 and Highway 6 interchange will begin next Monday when exit loops will be  permanently shut down according to a news release from Mississippi Department of Transportation.

New signal lights recently installed at the interchange in Batesville will allow drivers traveling northbound on 55 to exit onto Highway 6 using Exit 243A. 

Conversely, drivers traveling southbound on 55 wishing to exit Highway 6 will need to use Exit 243B.

Once exited onto the off ramps, drivers will have the option to go either east or westbound on Highway 6 with the new traffic lights and turn lanes assisting.
