Batesville City Hall open on Saturdays for absentee voters
Batesville City Hall will be open for absentee balloting from 8 a.m. until noon Saturdays in addition to its regular hours, City Clerk Laura Herron said.
Voters who need to cast absentee ballots in the June 4 General Municipal Election can vote from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays and on Saturday mornings May 25 and June 1.
In the June 4 election, incumbent Mayor Jerry Autrey faces challenges from Republican nominee Sid Burns Jr. and independent Wally Pang. The candidate who receives the highest number of votes will be the winner. There is no runoff election.
In Ward One, incumbent Bill Dugger, the Republican nominee, faces a challenge from Democratic nominee Bobby Reed.
