The North Delta Lady Green Wave varsity basketball team opened the 2012-2013 season with a 35-32 loss to Kirk Academy Monday night in the Marshall Pre-season tournament.

Hastings Neal paced the Green Wave with 12 points followed by Erin Snyder’s eight points and five rebounds. Jordan Pullen pulled down six rebounds to go along with seven points.

Claire Gant chipped in with four points while Julianna Morrow closed out scoring with one point. Callie Blake Masterson also dished out three assists in the loss.

North Delta did however bounce back from the defeat to ease past West Memphis 51-20 Tuesday. No other infomation was given.

North Delta will wrap up the tournament tomorrow against an opponent and time yet to be decided.
