ND vs Carroll game

Quarterback Tyler Pirtle tossed two touchdown passes and ran for two more as North Delta clinched a share of the District 1-AA title with a 41-7 rout of Carroll Academy Friday night in Carrollton.
North Delta (7-2;3-0) scored on their first two offensive plays from scrimmage as Pirtle raced 69 yards for touchdown then connected with Austin Hagstrom on a 51-yard scoring strike to give the Green Wave a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter.Hagstrom later reeled in a 38-yard touchdown reception from Pirtle as the vistors took a 35-0 halftime lead.
The Green Wave rolled up a season-high 502 yards of total offense with 347 yards rushing and 155 yards passing. Pirtle accounted to 294 all-purpose yards by rushing for 146 yards on three carries to go along with seven-of-nine passing for 148 yards. Taylor Morris contributed with 90 yards on seven carries and one touchdown.
North Delta host Indianola Friday at 7 p.m to close out the regular season.
North Panola
In other football action, North Panola fell to Charleston 50-20, after posting a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. Charleston tied the game on a trick receiver to receiver play to tie the game at 14 halftime.
North Panola will be on the road to play winless Independence on Friday at 7 p.m.
South Panola
South Panola continued its undefeated run in the district with a 42-14 win over Columbus. Columbus played a tough first half and held the Tigers to an 18-14 lead.
The Tigers will host Southaven in homecoming Friday at 7 p.m. The theme this year is Giddy up, Tigers.
