First Security Bank of Batesville and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks will be sponsoring the Sardis Lake Youth Fishing Rodeo June 2 at the Cypress Point Recreation Area on the Lower Lake of Sardis.  

A portion of the Lower Lake at Cypress point will be netted off and stocked with catfish. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the rodeo starting at 7:30 a.m.

Participants must be 1 – 15 years of age and accompanied by an adult. All participants must register.
 Participants must bring their own fishing equipment and bait.
