SARDIS – Willie Lee Burton, 53, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the PGA Building in Sardis. Burial will be in Cistern Hill Cemetery. Rev. Franklin Bowden will officiate. Eddie Robinson Funeral Homes has charge.

He was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Sardis.

Survivors include; two sons, Marlo Burton and Carlo Burton, both of Como; three daughters, Latasha Burton of Sardis, Marchelle Burton and Shantae Burton; one sister, Mattie Draper of Sardis; two brothers, George Burton of Sardis and John Norwood and a host of grandchildren.

HARMONTOWN – Billie Charlene Holden, 65, died Sunday, January 1, 2012.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Harmontown Baptist Church.

Holden, born Nov. 23, 1947, to the late Doyle Beard Sr. and Ruby Ruth Pace Beard, was a registered cosmetologist. She played the tambourine and was a dancer on a riverboat for guest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dale Holden.

Survivors include: one brother, Doyle Beard Jr.; one sister, Lynn Beard Tomlin; step-daughter, Kimberly Holden Sealy; step-granddaughter, Holden Sealy and step-grandson, Hayes.

POPE- Patsy Lea T. Stanley, 69, sister of Martha Hubbard of Pope, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at her residence.

Services were held Monday at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Stanley, born Sept. 8, 1942, in Batesville, to the late Abrum and Willie Teazle Williams Tedford, was a retired secretary for Mississippi Data Communications.

Survivors include: two sisters, Betty Jo Pierce and Martha T. Hubbard and one brother, Toy Abrum Tedford Jr.
