Batesville Junior High closed out the 2011 portion of its basketball schedule Thursday night, winning two of three games against Senatobia.
Shakala Burdette scored five points to lead the Batesville seventh grade Lady Tigers to a 9-4 victory. LaJada Jackson was the only other Batesville scorer with four points.
Senatobia took the boys’ seventh grade contest as Maurice Tony poured in 12 points as the Warriors took a 24-16 victory.
Kevin Cartwright, Ernest Sanford, Antonio Harris and Eli Wilson all scored three points each for Batesville. Cortez Campbell and Katrell Key finished with two points.
The eighth grade Lady Tigers closed out the night with a 30-11 victory as Jasmine Wright led Batesville with 14 points. Tahaira Bean added eight points while Caroline Dickins, Jaterrica Amos, Alexis Smith and Vaneshia Cole contributed with two points each.
Batesville’s next action will be on Jan. 13 at Pope.
