Led by Bradi Beard’s 13 points, the North Delta Lady Green Wave improved to 2-3 on the young basketball season with a 45-18 victory over Marvell, Ark. Wednesday night at the Indianola pre-season basketball tournament.

Laci DuBravec followed Beard in the scoring with 10 points while Charla Darby added eight and Erin Snider registered five points. Hannah Greenlee, Callie Blake Masterson, Julianna Morrow and Claire Gant all chipped in with two points and Jordan Pullen had one point.

The victory by North Delta was on the heels of a 64-34 loss to Pillow Tuesday night. Beard and Snider led the Green Wave with eight points each while Darby and Katelyn Still registered five and four points each. DuBravec, Hastings Neal and Peyton Rico contributed with two points. Gant rounded out scoring with one point.

North Delta, ranked No. 5 in the Academy AA poll, will take on Pillow  tonight in the 2011-12 home opener.

Four players scored in double figures as the Lady Green Wave evened their record at 3-3 with a 53-24 victory over Deer Creek Academy Thursday night.

DuBravec led the way wiith 13 points while Charla Shea Darby added 11 points. Greenlee and Snider added 10 each while Beard chipped in with nine.
