Green Waves fall to Washington

Ryan Gober rushed for 116 yard and two touchdowns to lead No.3 Greenville Washington to a 34-7 win over North Delta Friday night at Green Wave Field.

Quarterback Hayden Lewis threw for 174 yards on six-of nine passing as the Generals took a 20-0 halftime lead.

  North Delta, (2-1) averted a shutout when Taylor scored on a nine-yard run with 8:46 remaining in the fourth quarter. Morris finished the night with 113 yards on 25 carries as the Green Wave was held to 166 yards of total yards.

 North Delta junior quarterback Tyler Purtle left the game early in the first quarter after sustaining an apparent collerbone injury and was replaced by backup signal-caller Hunt Howell.

The Green Wave will travel to Magnolia Heights Friday night. The Chiefs were shutout 22-0 by Starkville Academy Friday night.
