The Panolian is publishing its annual preseason football special into today’s edition.

 In addition to the overall coverage of each team, highlighted are South Panola’s two Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen designees, season predictions, quarterback spotlight and games of the week.

Also included are the individual players, cheerleaders and bands.

Starting today is the annual football contest located on page A16. There are an additional 10 games for fans to choose from, two in each advertiser’s box.

“Hopefully, this will cut down on some tiebreakers,” said sports editor Myra Bean. “I hope some of the really good sports gurus will find this a little bit challenging.”

With the high school season starting two weeks before college, some NFL preseason games have included in this week’s selection.
