Kamryn Brooks Ernest

BATESVILLE– Kamryn Brooks Ernest, infant daughter of Bradley Ernest and Ashley Robison was still born on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Blackjack Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bradley Brooks Ernest and great-grandfather, Danny Thomas Thedford.

Survivors along with her parents include: her twin sister, Kay-Leigh Blain Ernest; her grandparents, Kimberly Tedford of Batesville, Chris Robison of Batesville, Darlene Pritchard Ernest; her great-grandparents, Bill and Ana Stroupe, Alice Robison and E.J. Robison, Alec and Carol Ernest and Elizabeth Thedford Pratt.

Louise Grissom

ENID – Louise Grissom, 85, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Faith Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Alfred Hill will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Batesville Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Grissom, born Feb. 15, 1926, in Greenwood, to the late Thomas Clayton and Lillian Cooper Clayton, was a homemaker and a member of Faith Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Bennie Grissom of Enid; two daughters, Rozetta Byrd of Huntsville, Ala. and Lauretta Rurtlin of Dayton, Ohio; one son, Barrington Holiday of Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Margaret Hall

COMO– Margaret Hall, 55, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at her residence.

Services were held Thursday  at St. James C.O.G.I.C. in Como. Burial was in Mt. Level M.B. Church in Como. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.

She was the pastor of All Nations House of Prayer.

Survivors include: her husband, Billy Hall; one daughter, Gloria Edwards of Memphis; three sons, Marlion Edwards of Batesville, Kawaunis Hall of Milwaukee and Timmy Mack of Coldwater; her mother, Thessalonia Webster of Sardis; seven sisters, Ruby Ellis and Joneedvar Edwards, both of Sardis, Brenda Edwards, Terren Austin and Liz Webster, all of Milwaukee, Barbara Webster of Sardis and Vanessa Edwards Jones of Markham, Ill.; eight brothers, James C. Burdette, Ullysses Edwards and Timothy Edwards, all of Milwaukee, Kenneth G. Webster of Oregon, Johnny Edwards Jr. of Chicago, Keith Edwards of Markham, Lennie Brown of South Holland, Ill. and Kelly Brown of Richton Park, Ill.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ronald TreMail Hoskins

BATESVILLE–Ronald TreMail Hoskins, 27, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at University Mississippi Medical Center.

Services were Tuesday at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Reginald Reed officiated. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary had charge.

Hoskins, born Aug. 6, 1983, in Sardis, to Ronald and Mary Smith Hoskins of Batesville, was a member of Antioch M.B. Church in Courtland. He was employed by Regions Bank.
Survivors along with his parents include: two brothers, Reginald Hoskins of Batesville, Hollis Hoskins of Oxford and his grandparents, Noble and Cleophia Blackburn of Batesville.

Barbara L. Walker-Jones

SOUTHAVEN – Barbara L. Walker-Jones, 43, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at her residence.

Services will be held Saturday at noon at Mt. Level M.B. Church in Como. Rev. Walter Newson will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at New Greater Light Church in Sardis.  Burial will be in Mt. Level M.B. Church cemetery. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home has charge.

Jones graduated from North Panola High School in 1985.

Survivors include: her fiancee, Pierre Wells of Southaven; one son, Zaiviairs Madlock of Sardis; three daughters, Torri Jones of Grafenwoeher, Germany, Rueshenna Reynolds and Jazlyn Jones, both of Southaven; her parents, Bobby and Clara Walker of Como; four sisters, Vernita Young of Goosecreek, S.C., Claudia Lenoir of San Antonio, Texas, Debra Jones of Memphis, Iris Davis of Senatobia; four brothers, Melvin Madlock of Alexandria, Va., Clifton Walker of Goosecreek, S.C., Lakendrick Thomas of Sardis, Ortavious Towns of Como and her grandparents, LouElla Brownlee, Joella and Raymond Walker and six grandchildren.

Ethel Mae Turner

WATER VALLEY – Ethel Mae Turner, 75, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Yalobusha General Hospital.

Services were held Thursday at Water Valley Civic Auditorium. Burial was in Oakridge Cemtery. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home had charge.

She was a member of Sanders Chapel M.B. Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Stacy Turner of Water Valley; one daughter, Nicole Oliver of Batesville; nine sons, Bobby Turner of Oxford, Craig Crawford, Ray White, Johnny Turner, Michael Turner, Keenan Turner and Reginald Turner, all of Water Valley,  Troy White of Toledo, Ohio, Christopher Turner of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Ethel Simmons of Oxford, Dale Allen of Water Valley; two brothers, Charles White and Darnell White, both of Water Valley; 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren

Fatha Annette Eppenger Wright

SARAH–Fatha Anntte Eppenger Wright, 44, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at her residence. She was the sister of Keithry Eppenger of Como.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Askew Grove M.B. Church in Sarah, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home has charge.

Survivors along with her brother include: her husband, Troy Wright; one daughter, Tra’eshia T. Wright; one son, Troy T. Wright; her father, L.D. Eppenger of Sarah; three sisters, Beatrice L. Williams of Memphis, Towanda L. Johnson of Sarah and Olivia S. Tyson of Falcon.
