Over 300 people are expected to walk some time during the 12-hour period.

Teams who have signed up include First Security Bank, First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian, General Electric (GE), Partnering for a Cure, Pope School, Regions Bank, Sparking for a Cure, TVEPA, Thermos-Fighting for Beverly, Tri-Lakes Medical Center, Walgreens and Walking for Life.

On-site fund raising tents will include balloons, pizza slices, cotton candy, neon jewelry, Gatorade, tea, nachos, water and more.

GE is the main sponsor of the Relay For Life event.

Tuesday night, Regions Bank hosted Bank night to give teams their t-shirts, mugs and other materials.

Purple T-shirts were given to survivors. Team captains received a green T-shirt. Other participants received white T-shirts. The theme on the shirts this year is “Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.”
