HERNANDO– Estrice Boone Sr., 84, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Golden Living Center.

Services were Saturday at Middle Baptist Church. Burial was in Greenview Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.

Boone was a farmer.

Survivors include: his wife of 37 years, Alma Titus Boone; six daughters, Derinda Boone Bland of Senatobia, Bernadette Hamilton and Geraldine Rush, both of Nesbit, Phyllis Boyd of Iuka, Wanda G. Craigen and Sandra S. Boone, both of Memphis; five sons, Estrice Boone Jr., Carl L. Boone and Tony A. Boone, all of Memphis, Gregory Boone of McDonough, Ga. and Patrick K. Boone of Bartlett, Tenn.; one sister, Emma Grice of Memphis; four brothers, Minor Boone Jr. and Claude Boone, both of Memphis, James Boone of Detroit, Mich. and Clarence Boone of Southaven; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Gladys Marie Lyles

BYHALIA– Gladys Marie Lyles, 76, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto. She was the mother of Dena Whittington of Courtland.

Services were held Tuesday at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Joe Nunnely officiated. Burial was in Clear Springs Cemetery in Coffeeville.

Lyles was born Dec. 6, 1934, to the late Theodore Thompson and Allie Heathcock Thompson.

Survivors along with her daughter include: two sons, Robert Allen Barnes and Danny Ray Lyles, both of Byhalia; one daughter, Tina Davis of Waterford; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
