Lady Tiger head coach Ashleigh Hicks was very proud of the team.

“We swept Grenada this year and I’m so proud of our team,” she said. “They’re young and I think the sky is the limit for them. They have so much talent and no one believes we don’t have any seniors. They can accomplish anything they want to and they can do it now.

“I think the difference in Thursday night’s game and Friday’s was that we saw that pitcher so many times,” Hicks continued. “She is young and didn’t have a lot of movement in my opinion. I think our girls just picked up where they left off.”

“One positive thing about my team is when they get behind it’s like they don’t even see the score until it’s over.”

The Lady Tigers will finish district action tonight as they host Tupelo and celebrate senior night with one senior being honored, manager Emily Smith.

The Lady Tigers will close the regular season Saturday at Desoto Central beginning at 3 p.m.
